E-invoices help reduce costs, facilitate the control and management of enterprises and taxpayers

This is the affirmation of Mr. Mai Son, Deputy Director General, General Department of Taxation, at the Conference on dialogue with taxpayers in 5 Southern Vietnam provinces and cities in 2024, with the attendance of more than 300 enterprises, on September 27th, in Ho Chi Minh City.
Conference on Dialogue of Tax in 5 Southern provinces: The spirit of inquiry, listening, working urgently, frankly and transparently
The dialogue conference discussed many issues related to electronic invoices (more than 30 issues) and value added tax, tax refund (29 contents). Not only does the tax sector marks an important step in strengthening communication between state management agencies and the business community, but also demonstrates the constant efforts of both parties to create a transparent and favorable business environment. At the conference, the tax authority also promised to answer questions beyond its authority and submit them to higher levels of government for consideration.
The conference attracted a great interest of enterprises
The event attracted a large number of enterprises to join in, many of which did not register the conference in advance, showing the deep interest of the business community in tax-related issues. This proves that enterprises are increasingly aware of the cruciality of compliance with tax laws and desire to clarify regulations and policies in a specific way.

At the conference, enterprises asked a lot of questions around different issues such as:
E-invoicing: This is still a hot topic of concern for many enterprises, especially regulations and procedures which related to the implementation of e-invoices.
Value-added tax (VAT) and tax refund: Issues related to VAT, especially tax refund procedures, are always questioned by enterprises.
Corporate income tax, contractor tax, personal income tax: Enterprises are also interested in these taxes, especially in the latest changes in tax policies.
Administrative procedures: Many issues related to administrative procedures such as tax registration, tax declaration, tax inspection, etc are also attentiveness of the enterprises. These enterprises have their wish to simplify procedures to save time and costs.
The spirit of openness, open-mindedness, frankness and transparency of the tax authorities
Before the questions and recommendations of enterprises, the tax authorities have shown their spirit of openness and open-mindedness. Delegates directly answered questions, answered problems and listened to the opinions of enterprises. Tax authorities are always ready to listen to the opinions of taxpayers and make appropriate adjustments to create favorable conditions for enterprises to operate.
Strengthening administrative reform and digital transformation
At the conference, representatives of tax authorities affirmed their determination to reform administrative procedures, simplify procedures, and promote the applications of information technology to tax management. The implementation of electronic tax services, electronic invoices, electronic portals for foreign suppliers,... are clear evidences of this effort.Using E-invoices will help enterprises reduce costs, increase security and transaction transparency. With automating processes, businesses can save time and manpower while minimizing the risk of errors. Moreover, e-invoices also help businesses easily integrate with accounting and business management software, thereby improving operational efficiency. In addition, e-invoices help to manage, review and improve works of tax management. Thus, they are an important part to create a healthy, clean and equal business environment for enterprises and taxpayers.
